An intra-biblical study of the maskilim of Daniel and the hundred and forty-four thousand of Revelation
Henk Visser MA
All Bible quotations are the author's own concordant working translations from the ground text. For the Hebrew and Aramaic the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC / OSHB) was used; for the Greek of the New Testament the Textus Receptus (Scrivener, 1894), with the reading of the critical text (Nestle-Aland / Westcott-Hort) indicated at the load-bearing places. For the Septuagint the text of Rahlfs-Hanhart was consulted; for the textual criticism and the LXX bridges the printed NA28 / ECM and the Göttingen Septuagint stand as final authority.
The four marks — well documented · weighed · contested · speculative — indicate the degree of certainty for each claim. Model-dependent readings (the Pre-Abomination model) are marked as such.
Typeset in Lora and Lato (with DejaVu Serif for the polytonic Greek and Noto Serif Hebrew / Frank Ruhl Libre for the Hebrew), set with XeLaTeX.
